Battle system

The combat system has been completely redesigned. The number of fleet and defense units has been changed. Names, prices, features of ALL fleets have been changed.

The heavy fleet is now really relevant. It's faster and stronger, has a more versatile rapid fire, but you have to try to turn it on. This is not a one-week job.
The defense and shield domes have also been completely changed. The defense will not crash and there will be no bonus for this. When balancing the defense, a calculation was made for the resistance of the fleet that outnumbered the defense by 5 times. Shield Domes now require Energy to operate and their cost increases with each Dome built, but the number of Domes is unlimited. An important change was that the amount of free Energy on the planet increased the Shields of all defensive structures. Thus, at the expense of energy, defensive shields can be increased up to 100%. This will affect the relevance and make the defensive gameplay more interesting, and to make it even more diverse, a special fleet has been added, which will be useful primarily for players who prefer defense over fleet.
Treason and main units. They can now be created for TM only and are displayed in a separate "Prime" section. There are more base units, now there are 4 for the fleet and defense.


Research system

The enemy espionage system has also been changed. Now, whether you have Spy probes on the planet directly depends on protecting the information from the enemy. While spying, each Spy Zone destroys the spied player's research. The higher the spy research level difference, the more research equal to +1 level difference will be destroyed while trying to get information.
The appearance of the battle report has also been completely changed. Now the player can immediately see how profitable it is flying to attack the player or Hostail, as there are totals at the end of each day.



Research system

like the combat system, research has undergone dramatic changes. Research no longer costs resources (metal, crystal, deuterium). Costs are measured in Sciences/Hours. Each Research Lab provides 1 science per hour per level. At the same time, the values of the Laboratories on all planets are summarized. You can also raise the levels of the Lab during the run of the study and the time will be recalculated. Initially, the player is given 15 science/hour. It is also worth noting that all studies are divided into branches. Three main and six minor (in areas: colonization, campaign, armor, shields, attack, engines)



Infinite distances and Hostail

Expedition has also undergone major changes. Now the chance at Infinite Distances is directly tied to the research level in the Exploration branch. By default the player can fly Infinite Distances with 50% Find Resource, 4.5% Find Fleet, Find TM 0% Find SP and most importantly 0% Chance of falling into a black hole. At the same time, the maximum fleet points that can be sent to the Expedition is initially limited to 50 points. This threshold can be increased to 25600 points by leveling research, but it is the leveling of this research that increases the chance of falling into the Black Hole, the maximum chance is the Exploration branch full level up is as follows: Search resource 50%, fleet search 15%, TM search 7%, ZR search 0% .5, 1.8% chance of fleet loss.
Hosttail is limited to the same fleet points. When Classic starts, only one quest will be available in the Hostal sector, Ruins. The rest of the Missions and the Upgrades section will be added in the next update.



Mining and Buildings.

The main task when setting up mine production was to make them relevant throughout the game. And especially relevant in the beginning. The exploration branch is still under-pumped, while the player takes the main income with it. Concrete results have been achieved by increasing mining progress factors to make mines more relevant and at higher levels.
The operating principle of a number of buildings has been changed and several new ones have been added. A major change affecting the Nanite Factory above all else, as Conveyors have been completely removed from the game, they have been replaced by the Nanite Factory, which has started to increase the speed of construction and is faster than one unit per second. Speeds up all fleet/defense classes simultaneously.
Another important change affected the Production Funds. These are no longer floating resources that can be stolen by an attack, but provide output to mines. Now the Production Funds is a building, each level of which optimizes your production for 1% of the hourly output of the mines that the player can collect. It is impossible to steal it. However, in case of an attack on planets where the defender loses, the funds will be disabled for 6 hours.
Added a new spaceport building. It is important to note that the direct exchange of one source with another through the call of a trader has completely disappeared. Contracts Game levels.

There are still game levels in the Classic universe. We did not abandon them completely. However, levels no longer provide permanent bonuses to the account and there is now only one level. When leveling up, the player receives a one-time reward in the form of Metal, Crystal, Deuterium, TM, SP or fleet. The level is pumped by completing achievements that have been completely redesigned and become more diverse. However, some aspects of the game also depend on levels, namely Contracts and Leveling the Alliance. I will write about balancing Alliances in a separate paragraph, so I will write more about Contracts.
A contract is a type of assignment given a limited time. The reward and contract conditions are completely random, but balanced according to the player's level. The higher the level, the higher the reward, but the larger the condition of the Covenant. All have 20 contract terms. All contracts are constantly updated throughout the day (every 30 minutes). You can get Metal, Crystal, Deuterium, TM, Navy and Defense to complete the contract.
